The 1st Grade History and Geography set of 10 student books includes 10 full-color LIFEPAC worktexts for students to complete. Each LIFEPAC worktext book includes both chapter self tests, quizzes, and final tests to assure mastery of concepts. Each LIFEPAC takes about 3 to 4 weeks to complete.

LIFEPAC HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY OVERVIEW
The LIFEPAC Gold History & Geography curriculum will start your student with an exploration of the 50 states and then take them on a tour of our world geography. Designed to make the study of history and geography relevant and thought provoking, your student will enjoy this curriculum and be asking you for more.
The History and Geography curriculum begins with a study of the student's family and neighborhood and concludes with a study of the challenges of democracy and special challenges facing the Christian in today's society.
The LIFEPAC series takes full advantage of opportunities to integrate the application of spiritual principles in a meaningful way. World history is presented from a Biblical viewpoint.
Each LIFEPAC section begins with an overview which introduces the student to the topic to be studied. LIFEPAC establishes clear objectives for each LIFEPAC so the parent can see the requirements for each unit. Colorful photos are found throughout the curriculum.
Challenging students to demonstrate both spiritual and academic growth, LIFEPAC Gold is the foundation of Alpha Omega's Bible-centered home school curriculum. Within each of the five core subjects - Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, History, & Science - the curriculum is organized into convenient workbook/textbook "worktext" units.
MASTERY LEARNING
This full-color worktext curriculum for students in grades K through 12 is based on the principle of mastery learning, in which students truly master the content and skills of one unit before progressing to the next. Different students learn at different speeds, so mastery learning ensures success by allowing each student to spend as much time as he needs in a particular subject area before moving on.
Students achieve mastery learning through LIFEPAC Golds systematic review of learned concepts at three levels. First, each new concept or skill is reinforced within the LIFEPAC worktext in which it is introduced. Second, concepts and skills are integrated across all five core subjects in the curriculum. And third, mastered material is treated as the building blocks of new material at the higher grade levels.
Many specific LIFEPAC Gold Curriculum activities and questions require students to go beyond simple objective recall, asking them instead to think analytically and draw conclusions that require a conceptual understanding of the material.
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
